Guide: Anoro Ellipta uses, dose & side effects

Anoro Ellipta can interact with other drugs, vitamin supplements, herbal products that you are taking. This can be harmful. It is always advised that you must inform the physician about all the drugs/over the counter products/vitamin supplements used before using Anoro Ellipta.
Anoro Ellipta is a mixture of two drugs, Umeclidinium and Anoro Ellipta Vilanterol. Anoro Ellipta is usually only available as an inhaler.


Usage:
Anoro Ellipta is indicated for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease for the treatment of airflow obstruction. The treatment of asthma and acute bronchospasm is not indicated.  Anoro Ellipta should only be used in individuals with COPD for maintenance therapy. In severe cases, it should not be used as a relief drug.
If after taking Anoro Ellipta, the disease continues or worsens, discontinue the medication and tell your doctor.

Side effects:
Anoro Ellipta can also induce some undesirable side effects in addition to its intended uses. Examples of side effects most often reported include:
  • Blurred vision
  • Throat irritation
  • Muscle spasm
  • Neck pain
  • Palpitations
  • Sinusitis
  • Lower respiratory tract infections
  • Nervousness
  • Low levels of potassium- leg cramps, muscle weakness
  • Diarrhea
